About Our Privacy Policy

Giftofbricks values your privacy. We only process data that we need to (improve) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of our website and the services accessible through it. The effective date of these terms is 21/08/2025. When a new version is published, all previous versions become invalid.

This policy explains what data we collect about you, how we use it, with whom and under what conditions it may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

Data Processing
General Purpose of Processing

We use your data solely to provide our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you give us. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we wish to contact you later for reasons other than your request, we will explicitly ask for your consent.

Your data is not shared with third parties, except where necessary to comply with accounting or other administrative obligations. All such third parties are bound to confidentiality either by agreement, oath, or statutory obligation.

Automatically Collected Data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed to further improve our services. These data (such as your IP address, web browser, and operating system) are not considered personal data.

Cooperation in Tax or Criminal Investigations

In certain cases, Giftofbricks may be legally obliged to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations conducted by government authorities. In such cases, we are compelled to share your data, but we will oppose this within the limits of the law.

Data Retention Periods

We retain your data for as long as you are our client. This means your customer profile is kept until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. Such a request will also be treated as a request for erasure.

Due to applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data for as long as the statutory retention period applies. However, employees will no longer have access to your customer profile or documents created as part of your assignment.

Your Rights

Under Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights concerning the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain these rights and how you can exercise them.

To prevent misuse, we will only send copies of your data to the email address already known to us. If you wish to receive data at a different email address or by post, we may ask you to provide identification. We maintain a record of completed requests. In case of a request for erasure, we record anonymized data.

All copies and data extracts will be provided in a machine-readable format used within our systems. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you suspect we are misusing your personal data.

Right of Access

You always have the right to access the data we (or third parties on our behalf) process relating to you or traceable to you. Submit your request to our privacy officer. You will receive a response within 30 days. If granted, we will send a copy of all relevant data to your registered email address, including an overview of the processors holding this data, categorized by type of storage.

Right to Rectification

You have the right to have data relating to you that we (or third parties on our behalf) process corrected or updated. Requests can be made to our privacy officer. You will receive a response within 30 days. If granted, you will receive confirmation that your data has been updated.

Right to Restrict Processing

You have the right to restrict the processing of your data. Requests can be made to our privacy officer. You will receive a response within 30 days. If granted, we will confirm that your data will not be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have your personal data transferred to another party. Requests can be made to our privacy officer. You will receive a response within 30 days. If granted, we will provide copies of all relevant data at your registered email address. In such cases, we may no longer be able to continue providing services, as safe data integration can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to Object & Other Rights

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Giftofbricks. If you object, we will immediately cease processing your data while we review your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide copies of your data and permanently stop processing.

You also have the right not to be subject to automated decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in ways that make this right applicable. If you believe otherwise, please contact our privacy officer.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. The most recent version will always be available on this page. If changes affect the way we process already collected data about you, we will notify you by email.
